Connect With a Group

Connect Groups are the heartbeat of Trinity UMC. With so many people coming into church every week, it could be easy for someone to get lost in the crowd, and this is where Connect Groups play a foundational role.

Connect Groups are groups of people that regularly meet up, talk about life, God, or the Bible, and simply do life together! As our church gets larger and larger, connect groups are key in making it feel small and ensuring that every individual is connected.

Prayer Team

There are many in our community who may feel alone and isolated. Many can be comforted through prayer.  Our Prayer Team prays together and individually with any who would like to do so.

The Prayer Team meets on Sundays at 5:45 p.m.  in the Chapel.

If you feel called to offer compassion and support for others, please join our Prayer Team.

Persons are available during altar calls and after the service to pray with others and help them find solace in God’s Word. We urge you to consider participating in this important aspect of our service. To volunteer, or if you have questions or are in need of prayer, contact the church office.

Bible Studies are offered throughout the year to engage members in being taught and nourished by the Word of God.  A Bible Study is a way to know God better.  Through His words, we come to know the nature and attributes of God and gain a better understanding of His plan for each of us.  Joining a Bible Study can be an important part of developing a deeper relationship with Christ by developing a deeper faith and understanding of God’s word.

TUMC is all about looking after the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our congregation. Here you will find support groups, counseling options, information about weddings, information about funerals, information about baptisms, and more.

Pastor Shalimar is available to respond to your pastoral care needs. If you have a concern you would like to share with her please contact Trinity United Methodist church office at        260-356-0961.

Music Ministry

For those of us who have been gifted and called in the area of music, we can sometimes feel that our “calling” really isn’t ministry.  How do we practically minister to or serve people through music?

I believe with my whole heart that God created music very intentionally.  It is a beautiful means by which He speaks to our hearts, and we in turn can speak to His heart, and to one another.  Music has the ability to reach into places that mere words often cannot.

Think about a time when you have been physically or emotionally moved by a symphony, or a choir, or a band. Think about that special song you share with a loved one and how you feel when you hear it.    Oh yes, I’ve been there and heard that cheering!  Like all other created things within this fallen, broken world, music can be corrupted and used for ignoble purposes. But it is my deep conviction that music is created to be a unique vessel of God’s glory.
